I've always been drawn to the texture and culture of life. Fabric is no exclusion. In fact, I find great comfort and satisfaction researching, learning about, feeling, and creating with interesting fabrics. Knowing how to sew is secondary.
My newest adventure, Gypsy Thread, is only possible because of a medical condition forcing me to let go of my busy, stressful, corporate climbing life. Although having RSD/CRPS (a rare neurological pain disorder) has been a struggle, it has also been a blessing allowing me to interact with people I would have never known... and to pursue my creative passions which have always been put on the back burner. I'm blessed to have an interest that allows me to feel productive and has an outlet to pay for itself.
Hopefully you will find the personality behind Gypsy Thread to be welcoming, quirky, informal, witty, and passionate. Yes, I am silly. Yes, I used to have a brain (before meds and such). No, I am not skinny. No, I do not have a dedicated sewing room. Yes, I am a fabric and button hoarder. And I totally stink at photography!!!

Alas, I'm not able to sew or write every day, so my store is rarely full and my blog will never be completely up to date. But I promise, if you'll keep an eye out you will be amazed at how quickly my new goodies find their happy homes. I know I always am.
If you ever have any questions feel free to leave me a note or send an email. I'll do my best to get back to you as soon as I am able.
